The
Compaq Presario has led the PC industry in providing the customer easy
access to frequently used multimedia functions such as CD player and
volume controls. This "touch of a finger" control has been
provided through the Easy Access Buttons designed into the top of the
system bezel.

Internet Button/Hot Keys:
Access the Internet with the touch of a button or through the F1 function key. Hit the F2 key and you are launching your email - it�s that easy.
CD Control:
Control your audio CDs from the easy access control panel. Play, stop,
next track, previous track, volume up, and volume down. On the 1200
series, control audio CDs from the function keys. F9 for play, F10 for
stop, F11 for next track, F12 for previous track. Simple and easy.
DisqPlay:
This Compaq exclusive is available only on the 1600 series. DisqPlay
enables listening to music CDs without booting up the PC. Compaq developed
this patent pending technology exclusively for Presario notebooks. This
exclusive technology makes listening to music convenient and easy. With
traditional notebook PCs, you must turn the unit on, wait for it to
boot up, and find a software application to play music CDs. With DisqPlay,
you put a music CD in the CD drive of your Presario Notebook, simply
push the DisqPlay switch, and push the CD Play button and your music
experience begins.
